Our offerings: Action-based learning
Through a vibrant mix of hands-on workshops, thought-provoking challenges, and authentic real-world projects, our programmes are designed to inspire our participants to roll up their sleeves and equip them with the skills to take action and tackle just about anything, anywhere.
Industry Lab (iLab)
Learn by doing. Solve by prototyping.
At Industry Lab, we roll-up our sleeves and get our hands dirty. We team up, dig in, and take on real-world challenges. It’s a sandbox for knowledge seekers to gain skills that matter and use them to create solutions that make a difference. It’s about starting a ripple of change, one solution at a time.
Here’s what you need to know:
What to expect
- We’re an after-school extracurricular program and need you to commit to 90 minutes on three weekday evenings, and at least three hours on Saturdays.
- Develop critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills.
- Participate in immersive workshops designed for practical, relevant learning.
- Solve real-world problems in an interactive, engaging team format.
- Showcase your finished project on Solution Day
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 15-25, whether you’re in school or not. As long as you’re ready to gain practical experience, churn out a tanglible solution to a relevant problem and leave a mark on your community, bring your curiosity and a drive to innovate.
How do we choose?
To avoid biases and keep things fair, the first part of your application goes through a blind review. No names, emails, or other identifying markers are visible to our team when they review this section, just you and your ideas, standing on their own merit.
siLab goes beyond traditional learning methods, boring textbooks and monotonous routines. It immerses students in real-world applications of their education, breaking down the walls of conventional classrooms. Merging seamlessly with the school curriculum, our tailored program encourages students to actively participate in their education, transforming learning into an engaging and practical experience.
What to expect
- Tailored to meet the unique needs of each school and its students.
- Focus on practical, community-driven problem-solving.
- Enriches extracurricular offerings with innovative, impactful learning experiences.
- In the name of fairness, application reviewers don’t know your name or any other identifying markers when they review the first section of your application.
